Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Your safari begins in the morning when your driver-guide picks you up from your hotel in Nairobi. You will then set off on a road trip to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Along the way, enjoy a stop at the famous Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Here, you can take photos and admire the wide, open landscapes.
After the stop, continue your journey and arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park by early afternoon. Once you check in at your lodge or camp, you will have lunch and a bit of time to relax. In the late afternoon, you will head out on your first game drive in the park.
Lake Nakuru is home to a wide range of animals and birds. During your drive, look out for zebras, giraffes, buffalos, rhinos, and hippos. You may also spot lions and other smaller predators if you’re lucky.
