Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi after breakfast. You will begin your road trip to Lake Nakuru National Park, your first stop on this 3-day safari. On the way, you will stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint for photos and beautiful views.
You will arrive at your camp or lodge in Lake Nakuru and have lunch. In the afternoon, go for a game drive around the park and the lake. This area is great for bird watching. You will see many birds such as flamingos, pelicans, herons, cormorants, eagles, and kingfishers. You may also see hippos near the lake. After the drive, return to your camp or lodge for the night.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park to Lake Naivasha National Park
Before leaving for Lake Naivasha, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. You will see more wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, buffalos, hyenas, and rhinos. With some luck, you might also see lions, leopards, or even a cheetah, though they are harder to spot.
After the drive, return to your lodge for breakfast. Then, transfer to Lake Naivasha. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on the freshwater lake. This area is home to many water birds and animals like hippos, zebras, waterbucks, giraffes, gazelles, and buffalos near the shores.
