Detailed 4-Day Lake Nakuru & Amboseli Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
You will leave Nairobi early in the morning and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. In the late afternoon, go on a game drive in the park. Look out for animals like zebras, giraffes, hippos, buffalos, and rhinos.
You will also see many birds including flamingos, storks, pelicans, fish eagles, and kingfishers. Return to your lodge for the night.
Day 2: Transfer from Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park
Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru to catch any animals you may have missed the day before. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then check out and begin the journey to Amboseli National Park.
You will have lunch on the way. Arrive at Amboseli in the evening, check in at your lodge, and enjoy a quiet evening with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Spend the full day exploring Amboseli, known for its large elephant herds. Go out at different times to increase your chances of seeing more animals. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to see active wildlife.
You are likely to spot elephants, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, and other animals. Return to your lodge in the evening for the night.
Day 4: Return to Nairobi
Enjoy one last morning game drive in Amboseli before leaving the park. Then drive back to Nairobi, where your safari ends. You will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport.
